BestPrep's Annual Luncheon was oh so sweet!

BestPrep's 34th Annual Luncheon was held on May 19, 2010 at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis.  More than 450 guests representing education, business and nonprofit communities were in attendance.

Cindy Drahos of Burnsville High School was named BestPrep’s Teacher of the Year and was presented with the Carpenter Achievement Award.  Candy Lee of Wayzata High School was presented with the Larson Financial Literacy Award for her work in financial education.  The Bunzel Volunteer of the Year Award went to Steve Lear of Affiance Financial for his dedication to improving the financial literacy of Minnesota students.  In addition, eight educators received BestPrep’s Teacher of Excellence awards and 17 volunteers were recipients of BestPrep Service awards.  For the full list of award winners, click here.

The keynote address was given by Martha Rossini Olson – AKA Sweet Martha – of Sweet Martha’s Cookie Jar.  Martha inspired and entertained with her entrepreneurial success story.  Guests enjoyed delicious Sweet Martha’s cookies for dessert!

The Annual Luncheon was presented by Gold Sponsors C.H. Robinson Worldwide and Thomson Reuters, along with three Silver Sponsors and 23 Bronze.  BestPrep is grateful to the event sponsors and all of the guests and supporters for making the event possible.
