BestPrep’s Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) provides an experiential opportunity for high school students to learn about starting their own business, career opportunities, how to invest, and how to make the most of their money. MBV provides students with life experiences that they can implement today.

  • Guest speakers arrive on campus daily to share their business knowledge and/or story with the students. Chance to learn from some of the best in our state.
  • Students have a mentor/facilitator from the business community who leads them through the week's many activities. Possible contact for college reference letter or future job.
  • MBV students live on campus in the dorms. Experience the college life – including all you can eat in the dining center.
  • Students improve their communication and teamwork skills as their “company” works together to create a business plan and present it to a panel of “investors” at the end of the week. These skills help students in a variety of areas from school to work to future career.
  • All of the above plus FUN, friends, new experiences and opportunities are why students decide to attend MBV! Check out a few more reasons.
