BestPrep’s
Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) provides an experiential opportunity
for high school students to learn about starting their own business, career
opportunities, how to invest, and how to make the most of their money.
MBV provides students with life experiences that they can implement today.
2009 Dates:
Early Bird Registration: Save $50 by registering by April 24th
Session 1: July 12-17 at St. Cloud State University
Session 2: July 26-31 at St. John’s University
Ways to Participate Interested
Students – Have a blast with business this summer! Discover
and apply real life information learned during the week that can be used
in your future. MBV is a one-week investment that pays dividends for life!
Nominate
a Student –Know a high
school student who would be interested in attending Minnesota Business
Venture this summer? Provide BestPrep with their contact information and
we’ll send them a brochure.
Returning Students - Attended MBV in
the past? Apply to return as a student staff member or dorm monitor and
share your experience with new students. Download information and application
here. Applications will be available in January.
Educators –
Foster a student’s continuing education! Classroom lessons are validated
by applied learning at MBV, and students return to school with a renewed
interest. If you think MBV might benefit a student, please don’t hesitate
to recommend it! Invite an MBV recruiter
into your classroom for a 10-20 minute presentation or submit announcements
or an article to the school paper. (Download

Volunteers– Mentoring students allows you to share your
work experience and career knowledge, as well as improve your leadership
and management skills. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the
community! Several options are available.
Alumni–
Since 1981, students have participated in MBV and pursued many career paths.
Where did MBV lead you? Frequently, alumni serve as speakers and volunteers
in many of BestPrep’s programs. Please complete the Alumni Questionnaire.
