The Stock Market Game™ Program (SMG) is a highly successful, interactive, interdisciplinary educational tool used primarily in grades 4-12. The SMG motivates learning about economics, finance, and the American economic system. Participating students meet core educational requirements while engaging in an exciting simulation of how the investment world works.

More than 500,000 students in Minnesota have discovered the risks and rewards involved in decision-making, the sources and uses of capital, and other economic concepts while learning basic skills like reading comprehension, mathematics, research, and computer proficiency. By promoting valuable and fundamental skills such as teamwork and decision-making, SMG makes learning interesting for students of all ability levels and fits easily into many disciplines and extra-curricular activities.

SMG provides instructors with a fun, engaging and easy-to-learn program that includes training, lesson plans, comprehensive curriculum materials, and most importantly, an ongoing support system. The thrill of competing keeps students interest and excitement as they see their ranking updated weekly. To reward their research and investment savvy, BestPrep offers prizes for the top three teams in each grade level division.

Ways to Participate
As an educator, you can participate in the Stock Market Game by registering teams of students or by registering a team for yourself. We provide valuable resource services for Minnesota educators to help enrich and enhance the learning experiences of their students.

As a volunteer, you can help by sharing your knowledge about the markets with students. Sharing your expertise is a powerful way to influence the education of the next generation of workers.
